    Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programme

PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanker is actively implementing the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programme to strengthen the professional competencies of its teachers. The programme focuses on enhancing pedagogical skills, innovative teaching methodologies, competency-based education, digital literacy, assessment practices, and the effective integration of ICT in classroom teaching, in line with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Through in-house workshops, collaborative learning sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on training, teachers continuously update their knowledge and refine their teaching practices.

In addition to the in-house CPD activities, teachers of the Vidyalaya have actively participated in various workshops, training programmes, orientation sessions, and capacity-building initiatives organized by the KVS Regional Office and other KVS training institutions. These programmes provide opportunities for professional learning, sharing of best practices, subject enrichment, leadership development, and exposure to emerging educational trends. The knowledge and skills acquired through these workshops are effectively disseminated among fellow teachers and implemented in classroom practices, thereby contributing to the overall academic excellence and holistic development of students.

As part of the continuous professional development initiatives, the teachers of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanker actively participated in various capacity-building programmes organized by KVS. Mr. Rajesh Kumar attended the Master Trainer Workshop in Sanskrit, which enhanced his expertise in innovative pedagogical approaches and effective language teaching practices. Mrs. Suman Devi, PGT (History), participated in the workshop titled “Transforming History Classroom through Inquiry-Based and Experiential Learning” organized by ZIET Mumbai. The workshop enriched her understanding of learner-centred teaching strategies, inquiry-based learning, and experiential pedagogy, enabling her to make history teaching more engaging and effective. The knowledge and skills gained through these programmes are being effectively integrated into classroom practices, contributing to the overall academic excellence and professional growth of the Vidyalaya.
